After a not so good eye test it was decided that I needed reading glasses which were purchased at a decent price. After a couple of days I noticed that the new glasses were no different than my old ones. Revisiting the store to ask for a refund as having been sold something that was unnecessary, the shop assistant was adamant that the glasses were fine but when I asked why my laptop was distorted she said I needed another pair or varifocals? So Ok for the varifocals but why was I then told to wear my old reading glasses to read with? Aren't you supposed to be able to read with varifocals? Is there any logic to this or is it just Specsavers making a profit from unwary customers!!!!! BUYER BEWARE Go to any other reputable opticians. I've always had a problem seeing dark on light and projectors have always magnified that problem so when they introduced the projectors I told them I wouldnt be able to see it properly and do they have a standard 'light box' I could be tested on.. Never the less they tested my eyes on the projector and low and behold my perscription had gone through the roof, now I had not noticed any probelms with my sight since my last test but they started panicing me by telling me my eye sight had dropped significantly and I should worry about that.. Anyhoo I havent been back for over two years and now they are starting to threaten me with cancelling my contact lens scheme.
